ice cream r&d latam is seeking a product development technologist based in mexico. This position is responsible for the ice cream category, leading key innovations under brands like magnum and cornetto. The position reports into the r&d ice cream manager mexico.
what will your main responsibilities be
1. manage end-to-end product development cycle and seek opportunities for the ice cream category
2. r&d leadership throughout all phases of innovation, 5s and simplification
3. formulation work stream leader, working with brand development and the cross-functional project team, ensuring ingredients are fit for purpose to meet the product brief, and delivered on time, in full.
4. where assigned, to be the technical project leader of a project, accountable for delivery of all r&d deliverables and managing the program of the r&d work stream leaders assigned to the project.
5. define the ingredients to be used which will deliver the product functional and sensorial benefits as well as the stability throughout the entire shelf life.
6. deliver formulation which not only meets the required quality and technical standards, but also delights the consumer and builds brand love.
7. to deliver the content of technical specifications for all ingredients developed in a project.
8. hey influence the business case via the ingredients they choose, and also have a key role in influencing the choice of sustainable sourcing.
9. they also help to define and implement cost-efficient formulations.
10. they must understand how their formulations can compete and be delivered in an ever-changing consumer market at both a global and regional scale and innovatively find the new product solution to fit the specific market.

what you will need to succeed
13. working knowledge on technical specifications & supply chain support projects – vip, resilience, quality program
14. ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

16. flexibility in work style to be able to manage several projects simultaneously.
17. intermediate to advanced level english (person must be able to write emails and reports in english which can be easily understood, and can actively participate at english-speaking business meetings).
18. knowledge of food or ice cream manufacturing processes preferred.
19. strong sol evidence and examples.
20. working knowledge to fully operational project management skills
21. minimum 3 years of relevant experience in formulation r&d.
22. work presence in tultitlan plant.
23. university degree, chemical engineer, food engineer
