quality technician at molex llc gdl plant, the candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality within the automotive industry. Reporting directly to the aqp supervisor; interacting with manufacturing.
what you will do
1. ppap activities: collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute production part approval process (ppap) activities. Conduct initial sample inspections and validate that all required documentation complies with customer specifications.
2. measurement and testing: perform precise measurements and inspections using various tools and equipment to verify product conformance. Conduct statistical process control (spc)
3. documentation management: organize and maintain quality-related documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and certificates of conformance.
4. support apqp engineer: assist the apqp engineer in the development and implementation of advanced product quality planning (apqp) processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
5. problem solver:support the problem solving (8d) analysis and resolution of new product related customer,complaints or internal quality issue during launch.support efforts for prevention of repeat issues & systemic improvements to the product development processes to reduce new products qns.
6. pbm & quality systems:understand & practice the koch 5 dimensions & guiding principles, international standards organization (iso) and environmental, and/or health and safety (eh&s) management systems by following stated policies and procedures.
7. internal audit: participant in lpa/product/process audit for mass production, periodically check if there is any potential risk for quality, leading/support long-term continuously improvement.
who you are
8. bachelor’s degree
9. 1+ years’ experience in a quality assurance role within the automotive industry.
10. knowledge of injection molding, metal stamping, and assembly manufacturing processes.
11. experienced with carrying out measurements using various traditional measurement systems.
12. proficient in ppap processes, measurement techniques, and quality management systems
. what will put you ahead
13. training or experience in high-speed automated manufacturing.
14. proficient in sap and quality software (minitab, etc.)
15. proficient with microsoft tools.
16. strong knowledge and understanding of metrology and gd&t.
17. working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes.
18. quality system (iso 9001 or ts 16949) and supplier auditing experience,
19. gage and fixture design.
