the opportunity
we are seeking a detail-oriented food safety facilitator to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation within our pilot plant. This role is responsible for coordinating, verifying, and maintaining essential documentation for daily and monthly r&d operations. The food safety facilitator will work closely with the sanitation and operations teams to implement and ensure compliance with food safety procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety protocols and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
your impact
as r&d food safety analyst, your functions would consist of:
* co-leading plant self-inspections and aib audits.
* planning and executing the training of key personnel inside the pilot plant for the correct execution with the necessary knowledge so that the programs are managed according to the norm and to the requirements established in the standard.
* coordinating and verifying the daily documentation required on the production floor, including 5-minute inspections, raw material intake, identification labeling of incoming materials, cold room temperature logs, analytical laboratory material checks, inspections of susceptible raw materials, and storage areas.
* ensuring compliance with monthly documentation tasks, such as foreign material, brittle plastic, and glass inspections.
* collaborating with the sanitation team to oversee the housekeeping program and assign tasks in the pilot plant area.
* verifying the proper implementation of documented cleaning and sanitation procedures in the pilot plant facilities.
* standardizing and implementing aib-based documented systems in the operational areas.
* ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to food safety, and updating the documents accordingly based on any changes in legislation or regulations.
* supervising the sanitation team, providing guidance and support in implementing the housekeeping program effectively.
* maintaining regular communication and providing reports on program compliance and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
qualifications
who are we looking for?
experience
* recent graduate with 1 year of experience in similar positions.
* a strong understanding of food safety principles and best practices.
* familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
* excellent organizational and coordination skills.
* attention to detail and ability to verify the accuracy of documentation.
* strong leadership and people skills to manage the sanitation team effectively.
* proficient in communication and reporting to keep all relevant stakeholders informed.
* background in chemical engineering, biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field.
differentiated competencies desired:
* prior experience in a similar food safety role is an advantage.
* commitment to providing safe and high-quality products.
* soft skills: self-motivated, cultural inclusion, teamwork, leadership, self-driven, good performance under pressure, negotiation skills.
* language: intermediate - advanced english.
* aib, haccp, and fsma knowledge (experience desirable).
