remote vs. Office hybrid (remote/office) company siemens inmobiliaria de organization se ceo business unit legal & compliance full / part time full-time experience level experienced professional a snapshot of your day as a contract management professional, you will primarily support the buyers who negotiate commercial contracts for the procurement of logistics services and indirect materials and services for siemens energy’s north american businesses and corporate affiliates. This position is based in siemens energy's offices in mexico city and/or queretaro, mexico. You will work independently and as a member of a regionally based team concurrently engaged in multiple negotiation efforts. how you’ll make an impact
3. supporting siemens energy legal department processes involving legal specific risks and topics in logistics and indirect procurement transactions.
4. providing legal topic guidance to indirect procurement and logistics business partners and their management during their drafting and negotiating of master purchase agreements, purchase orders, and adoption agreements.
5. applying advanced skills to independently analyze, identify, and recommend innovative approaches for business partner resolution of legal specific contract requirements, topics, and risks.
6. performing a variety of legal department contract management duties.
7. performing as a member of a multi-disciplined team consisting of personnel from multiple siemens energy departments and groups; and supporting and actively engaging in an environment of continual training, mentorship, and education of fellow professional staff.
what you bring
8. bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with supply chain or logistics focus preferred or equivalent experience required.
9. advanced degree or equivalent experience in business or law not required but considered beneficial.
10. must be able to fluently speak and write english.
11. seven to ten plus years of proven responsibility and experience in negotiating commercial purchasing arrangements; of which five years include contract management / transactional experience in a complex engineering project related field.
12. demonstrates success in handling high dollar contracts specific to the purchase of complex, manufactured goods and services, logistics services, etc.
13. demonstrates knowledge of legal business practices, concerns and mitigations related to contracts and claim management, and the contractual and commercial aspects of clauses that address legal topics such as: indemnification, limitations of liability, consequential damage disclaimers, governing law, assignment, intellectual property, confidentiality, insurance, cybersecurity, data privacy, compliance requirements and export control.
14. demonstrates strong negotiation skills, ability to formulate logical approaches and make effective recommendations to address legal matters with business partners in legal, procurement, logistics and other core personnel representing the interests of key internal subject matter authorities and partners.
15. the ability to socialize ideas, make effective recommendations and generate team consensus to move forward; this also includes meeting facilitation skills.
16. demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of organization's business practices and concerns; applies deep knowledge of fundamental legal concepts, practices, and procedures through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
17. possesses and applies the technical aptitude necessary to successfully understand and coordinate inclusion of contractual and technical topics in complex contracts.
18. demonstrates a strong sense of prioritization, internal customer orientation, work ownership and sense of urgency with assigned tasks and their timely completion; must collaborate well in groups.
19. flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities and prioritize multiple contract efforts at the same time.
20. ability to travel domestically and internationally estimated at ten percent (10%).
