a snapshot of your day
as a sales operations manager at siemens energy, your day starts with reviewing the latest energy market trends and staying up-to-date with our competitors' moves. You share these developments with our sales managers in the latin americas region and get their insights as well.
on a regular basis, you will guide the regional sales operations team to do win/loss analyses of our bids jointly with the respective sales. In this role, you build a feedback loop to other parts of the organization. As part of a global intelligence community, you collaborate closely with colleagues across the globe to grow your internal network and transfer findings from other regions into the latin americas region.

the work of you and the team has a significant impact on regional and global scale:
5. crafting transparency about energy markets and our competition.
6. mentor members of the sales team in latin americas on price analysis, competitors analysis, win and loss feedback, and market trends.
7. develop & drive our regional strategy to position our portfolio for the mid and long-term.
8. marketing activities (customer events, market analysis, product positioning etc)
9. economic evaluation of power plant offerings to position our portfolio.
10. deliver a high-quality yearly sales forecast planning of the gs s portfolio
11. drive the regional inputs for r&d decisions, factory load planning, prioritization etc.
12. crafting a feedback loop to portfolio managers, sales colleagues, and other parts of the organization about or won and lost offers following the business tempo
13. you will manage a team or be a part of special critical initiatives impacting the global organization.
14. lead and guide new team members on internal and external processes that are required to be in compliance with se business excellence procedures.
what you bring
15. bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
16. preferred: master’s degree and/or mba
17. 10+ years of work experience with or in the power generation, oil & gas, or related industries; strategy and consulting background preferred.
18. 7+ years of power transaction or sales operations experience in latin america or international energy markets.
19. have an agile mentality - ability to lead informal teams or work under minimal supervision and lead respective partners.
20. strong written and oral communication skills to convey sophisticated subjects in a concise manner.
21. ability to work with numbers, data visualization tools and interpret the same
22. a growth and learner’s mentality. You are not worried or afraid of dealing with a task you will do for the first time. However, you do not shy away from asking for help if you need help.
