Airswift is looking for a leader procurement shared services to work on a permanent contract in méxico with a large engineering and industrial equipment manufacturing company.
job responsibilities
* monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers, subcontractors, own work, and the performance of the assigned team.
* coordinate purchasing and logistics operations with the north american region.
* ensure and manage procurement processes to meet project timelines and requirements, guaranteeing timely delivery of materials and services.
* report to immediate supervisor on kpi performance and progress toward meeting goals and objectives.
* manage supplier claims related to scope, quality, delivery times, costs, etc.
* obtain and generate missing information or documentation during various stages of the procurement process;
* analyze and evaluate supplier offers in line with company policies and procedures.
* create and manage purchase orders in the erp system, track deliveries, review and reconcile scopes, and ensure supplier payments are processed.
* manage and develop suppliers using srm and erp systems, overseeing contracts, agreements, certificates, information updates, and payment terms.
* lead and manage the assigned team: foster team development, manage workload, mediate conflicts, and supervise daily operations.
* address and resolve supplier quality issues and handle complaints effectively.
* prepare and present kpi reports and project status updates (weekly reports, statistics, etc.).
* support the project manager, purchasing manager, category managers, and other teams in meeting procurement requirements.
* review and ensure compliance with company terms and conditions for supplier purchases.
* provide regular follow-up reports to stakeholders (sales, projects, quality, etc.) as needed, and effectively communicate updates.
* develop, implement, and refine activities, tools, and procedures to support and improve the purchasing function.
* expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services, working closely with stakeholders to manage supply chain needs.
job qualifications
* location: candidate must be based in morelia - mexico, or surrounding areas.
* experience in procurement, mechanical manufacturing, and projects.
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering or similar;
* minimum/preferred experience: 5 / 6 years.
* proficiency in software: key user sap, ms office, adms, dwg, srm, coq, celonis.
* advanced english.
* knowledge in industrial engineering and business management.
