as a collaboration solutions specialist supporting platform-specific operations team, you will be trusted to work on video conferencing solutions and system optimization at our mexico city office.
in this role, a typical day will include:
* coordinating and executing macd (move, add, change, delete) activities for video conferencing systems, including installation, updates, changes, and removals of equipment and configurations.
* managing and prioritizing service requests in the itsm platform (e.g., servicenow), ensuring timely and effective resolution according to service level agreements (slas).
* providing escalation support for complex video conferencing issues, collaborating with engineering teams or third-party vendors for troubleshooting and resolution.
* analyzing current video conferencing setups and recommending improvements or optimizations to meet business needs.
* working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless video conferencing service delivery.
* documenting activities, service requests, incidents, and solutions for accurate record-keeping.
* acting as a point of escalation for technical issues and providing guidance to it support teams when necessary.
what you’ll bring to alcon:
* education: b.s. or b.a. in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* experience: 1-3 years of experience managing video conferencing systems and performing macd activities.
* technical skills:
o strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o experience with it service management platforms (e.g., servicenow) for service request tracking.
* behaviors:
o strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
