phillips-medisize, a koch company, is currently seeking a *business development manager - automotive segment*
the rol is responsible for:
- in partnership with sales management, prepare short and long-range strategic plans, including implementation of such, to identify and grow phillips sales in assigned technology/market segments
- qualify and develop leads and make initial contact
- in partnership with sales management, develop plans and objectives for the sales effort
- achieve annual sales growth goals and objectives
- actively research and determine where specific pmc or molex technologies fit and be presented as a solution for new product lines outside the core business or add to pmc core business
- act as a leader and resource providing an overall market intelligence base of information and knowledge in cooperation with customer visits and program negotiations towards the pursuit of capturing new customers
the experience you will bring
- demonstrated ability in developing long term mutually rewarding customer relationships
- demonstrated financial knowledge (understands p&l and balance sheet)
- working understanding of market segment manufacturing processes, quality systems
- strong organizational and follow through skills
requirements*:
- bs degree in business marketing or engineering or equivalent experience and education
- minimum of five (5) years in injection molding experience
- minimum of five (5) years outsource selling in market segment
- experience with customer contract negotiations
- experience in the automotive, consumer, defense and industrial markets
