the asset and configuration management analyst iii is a resource who delivers daily end-to-end configuration management services to the organization, focusing work on prioritized tasks.
how you would contribute: the specific responsibilities include:
manages the day-to-day operational activities as defined in the processes, including establishing priorities and work assignments.tracks compliance to policies and procedures and resolves or escalates any compliance issues.reviews, approves, and fulfills configuration management service requests as assigned.performs inventory review and data audits with global technology services (gts) teams to ensure completeness, compliance, and accuracy of data.works on strategic projects to ensure configuration management can deliver the required functionality within project timeframes.reviews and discusses with management changes to the configuration management it infrastructure where applicable to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed.educates the organization on configuration management services, concepts, policies, and procedures.supports new or improving configuration management functionality aiming to achieve operational excellence.designs, reviews, codes, tests, and publishes ci (configuration item) reports as needed.collects and reports on metrics and cmdb health as required.what's special about the team: the team has experience in servicenow configuration management module, cmdb (configuration management database), servicenow discovery, reporting, ci relationships, ci classification, and identification.

job qualificationsskills and background required to be successful:
5+ years of hands-on experience in servicenow configuration management module, cmdb (configuration management database), servicenow discovery, reporting, ci relationships, ci classification, and identification.knowledge of it asset and configuration management practices and itsm (it service management).knowledge of discovery, scan, and scripts processes to update cmdb.intermediate to high-level skills on itil processes.
itil v4 certification preferable.good analytical skills, data management and manipulation.very familiar with information technology jargon.project management or project coordination skills.education: bachelor's degree in systems engineering, information technology or related field.
strong communication skills in english.
