We are seeking a people operations specialist to join our remote team.

as a people operations specialist, you will ensure that our human resources policies and practices are not only up-to-date but also aligned with regulatory standards, providing a strong backbone for our company's hr functions.
*responsibilities*
- update and maintain accurate employee files with requisite documentation
- prepare and oversee the audit process for employee documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- serve as the main point of contact with our background investigation provider
- ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment
- provide advice on best practices regarding internal policies, labor relations, and people-related procedures
- collaborate with other departments to streamline hr processes and enhance employee satisfaction
- requirements:

- at least 2 years of experience in human resources or a closely related field
- proven experience managing employee documentation and conducting audits of employee files
- strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- proficiency in english at a b2 level or higher
- capable of managing complex and ambiguous situations and independently finding solutions
- experience in implementing internal policies and ensuring compliance with mexican labor laws
- familiarity with conducting background investigations or working with external service providers for these services
- thorough knowledge of mexican labor law, including federal labor law, social security law, infonavit, and other local regulations
- exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential documents
- proven internal consulting skills on best practices in human resources and labor relations

- additional certifications in human resources such as shrm or hrci
- experience with hr software and information systems
- a background in organizational psychology or related fields
