As the human resources manager for the advanced components manufacturing organization, you will lead a team of 40+ hr professionals to support over 9,000 global employees in various locations, including acm’s wuxi, china campus, three facilities in mexico (monterrey, acuna, reynosa) and as well as us locations, sumter, sc, joliet, il. You will manage and contribute to the joint strategic leadership of departmental and division issues.
*job duties*:
- provides direction and guidance to the acm general manager and teams on hr policies and procedures, ensuring consistency. Actively participate as a functional manager on business teams ensuring human resources is an integral part of the business strategy. Keeps employees, managers, and department heads advised on changes. Plays an integral part in implementing the people strategy including talent & leadership, employee experience & operational excellence, and integrating cultural values in the day-to-day business activities.
- provides strategic hr direction considering the impact upon the company (financial), employee engagement, and consideration for the future (new practices, policies, and procedures). Researches, benchmarks, creates strategic initiatives and designs implementation strategies to improve business unit results at all locations. Formulates and/or implements policies, practices, and procedures related to employment practices, appropriate training, benefits, and safety.
- the position will function as the human resources lead contact for the defined unit, determining and providing services directly or from specialized support groups.
*basic qualifications*:
a bachelor's degree in hr related field or 10 years of human resources experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
8 plus years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience are required.
3 plus years of production facility hr experience.
Background in the following human resources areas: strategic workforce planning, employee development, engagement, diversity & inclusion strategies.
Ability to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions.
Previous supervisory and leadership experience managing teams from different locations.
Strong customer focus and ability to influence.
Proven track record of positively influencing teams and leaders.
Workday experience.
Familiarity with functional areas, policies, and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level.
Ability to consider both traditional and non-traditional approaches to human resource management.
Demonstrated ability to drive hr processes and to deliver high-quality hr services in a fast-paced environment
