Job responsibilities
1. oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.
2. implement lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes.
3. ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
4. manage inventory, raw materials, and supply chain coordination to prevent shortages or overages.
5. lead, mentor, and develop department managers and supervisors to drive high performance.
6. foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
7. ensure proper training and development programs for employees.
8. maintain a positive and productive work environment.
9. ensure adherence to quality control standards for all products.
10. collaborate with engineering, r&d, and corporate teams to enhance product quality and innovation.
11. monitor compliance with company policies, local labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
12. manage budgets, cost control measures, and operational expenses.
13. develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
14. provide reports and insights to corporate leadership on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
15. work closely with the fullerton, ca corporate office to align plant operations with company objectives.
16. ensure seamless logistics and supply chain coordination between mexico and the u.s.
17. travel to the u.s. as needed for corporate meetings, training, or business purposes.
minimum requirements
1. fluent in english and spanish (spoken & written).
2. valid u.s. Visa for travel to the u.s.
3. bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
4. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
5. strong background in textile manufacturing, furniture production, quilting, and cut-and-sew processes.
6. experience in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
7. excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
8. strong knowledge of mexican labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
9. ability to manage large teams and multi-shift operations.
