*this position is responsible for building and executing the materials localization strategy by doing the evaluation, qualification, and management of the supply chain within latam region.

*this role will support the execution of strategic sourcing projects and tactical procurement opportunities to help ensure the realization of cost savings objectives and supply chain lead time reduction and efficiencies.

*how you will do it?
*:
- *plan and manage company's overall sourcing localization strategy in mexico.
*:
- *build and own relationships with key local suppliers and johnson controls operations leaders.
*:
- *define, develop, negotiate and contract strategic sourcing solutions that meet johnson controls requirements in material localization.
*:
- *enhance profitability by reducing costs through price, payment terms, rebates, inventory optimization management techniques and increasing supply chain efficiencies.
*:
- *manage material procurement escalations as required.
*:
- *keep updated of market trends and industry best practices on materials management.
*:
- *adhere to all relevant industry guidelines and regulations.
*:
- *have a close relation with engineering and supplier quality teams to align the localization strategy.
*:
*what are we looking for?
*:
- *bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of related sourcing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
*:
- *proven negotiations experience.
*:
- *proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
*:
- *proven ability to work in ambiguous environments and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve common business objectives.
*:
- *interpersonal skills to influence, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.
