- manages supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis, order fulfillment, import/export operations and shipping, for a regional or global business unit.
- produces reports using it systems and analyzes data to develop trends for supply and demand activities, and articulates findings to management.
- leads the analysis conducted for backlog management.
- gathers demand data from country, region, and account managers to contribute to demand planning.
- collaborates with regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance current business processes.
- drives business outcomes and operational excellence based on the continuous review of current processes.
- drives the review of performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
- provides training or general direction for junior staff members.
*education & experience* recommended*
- four-year or graduate degree in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, business administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
