Fall creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified *mx controller*. This position will be located in *tala, jalisco, mexico.*
the controller is accountable for the company’s financial and accounting operations processes. This includes monthly analysis of financial statements, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets. The controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with local gaap and us gaap
*what you'll do at fall creek*:
- the controller works closely with corporate tax, treasury, business management, operations, financial consolidation, legal and compliance teams, plus internal and external audit functions, and third-party service providers.
- reports directly to regional director in mexico also reporting to the chief financial officer (cfo).
- leads and manages a team of direct reports.

- improving balance sheet and account reconciliation quality, ensuring it transactional integrity, compliance with fall creek’s policies/procedures and helping to establish the proper tone at the top and drive a strong ethical/controllership and business partnership mindset throughout the mexico business entity.
- the controller provides accounting guidance, ensure a strong control environment, and is responsible for simplifying processes, driving standardization, and control enhancements in partnership with management, operations, human resources, commercial, legal and compliance.
- the controller is expected to understand business flow, both from a sales and production perspective to be able to provide advice to the mexico’s management team
