2. develops, configures and optimizes production processes from inception through to start up and certification, researches and develops new equipment
3. drafts technical project objectives by drafting maintenance ofcapex or improvement project proposals and plans; determines project specifications in line with operations requirements, and performance standards; completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates
4. evaluates and validates design alternatives to create optimum designs.
5. certifies the technical accuracy of designs and financial business case associated

7. keeps an oversight of all production processes and supports the day-to-day optimization of the production lines and processes
8. assists production staff in troubleshooting in the event of problems; performs root cause analysis in case of (recurring) malfunctions, problems or other issues; suggests solutions to prevent malfunctions from recurring
9. monitors the performance of equipment, including regular testing and ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out

11. participates as a team member in a broad capex assignments, or leads project teams in capex projects
12. participates in assigned installation and/or process improvement projects, within the project management guidelines.
13. ensures successful completion of the assigned project phases within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
14. manages the installation and start-up of new process equipment; provides process documentation and operating instructions

16. continuously evaluates equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high
17. identifies and implements improvements to the production systems, processes and practices in order to improve / optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the processes; develops best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output

19. stays abreast of the latest developments in process management
20. acts as a technical consultant on production processes; contributes to the development of nutreco technical standards
21. compliance
22. assures that all process documentation shows and ensures compliance with both internal and external regulations
23. performs risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used, covering all aspects from safety, health, food safety and all other hsse standards
24. signals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations
