the individual will work with suppliers to develop the right quality systems to support qualification of new products materials, and/or processes.
the individual will also resolve defective material issues using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
this role priority is to develop nearshoring to na and latam and support the development of new local sourced fg or raw materials.
the role will also support the one newell quality and act as a resource for other segments as needed.primary tasks & responsibilitieswork and communicate with suppliers to achieve the right quality level to become a supplier to newell brands.work with product development teams including the factory to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.develop and implement procedures for random audits on raw materials, work in process and finished goods to verify product specifications.qualify and develop new suppliers for finished goods/material suppliers.interface with engineering and manufacturing to perform root cause analysis of non-conformances and drive closure of corrective actions.support ppap completion via data collection, analysis and verification for suppliers in the assigned region.gather and analyze data to determine if existing processes and equipment have statistical process capability with respect to engineering standards.participate in projects to reduce cof (specifically: plant scrap and warranty complaints).work with suppliers to resolve defective material issues, using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (capa).work with suppliers to achieve and maintain continuous quality improvement via several tools including but not limited to process audits.maintain and execute a supplier surveillance plan for the assigned region including independent scheduling of audits and tracking and improving kpis.work collaboratively with all segments and functions as needed.perform other duties as assigned or requested.impact to the businesslevel of autonomythis role should require minimum supervision and can make assertive and sound decisions with regards to the supplier quality programs
