zf monterrey mexico is looking to add a regional human rights expert to our team.
what you can look forward to as regional human rights expert:
1. independent identification, analysis, and assessment of human rights risks and impacts in the americas region in close consultation with the global human rights team.
2. first point of contact for human rights issues and concerns within the americas, including the handling of local and regional cases.
3. supporting the global development of the human rights due diligence process through continuous input and regional expertise as well as human rights expertise in national legislation.
4. as a member of the global human rights team, you will be working closely with other relevant regional departments to anchor human rights requirements regionally in the company.
5. support in the implementation and monitoring of measures to mitigate human rights risks and in the development of local prevention measures.
6. representation of the company in regional forums, networks, and stakeholder engagements related to human rights, such as the industry-wide grievance mechanism mrdh in mexico.
7. creation and implementation of training courses and workshops on human rights issues for internal and external stakeholders.
your profile as a regional human rights expert:
1. successfully completed studies in law, political or social sciences, or equivalent (master, dipl.), with a special focus on human rights and/or international law.
2. professional experience and proven expertise in human rights (legal, political, and corporate application), international experience desirable.
3. in-depth knowledge of human rights frameworks and laws, both at international and regional level in the americas.
4. very good legal and political analysis and conception skills, team mentality, and a structured way of working.
5. high social skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
6. independent and structured way of working with a high level of problem-solving skills.
7. willingness to travel.
8. fluency in english, spanish, and other foreign languages is an advantage.
9. nice to have experience working with non-governmental organizations.
