*position summary*
the ecommerce business unit is the link between business units & channel strategy with the ecommerce and digital channels execution. He/she is responsible to bring online expertise and understanding to feed into the category and channel strategies, proposing new touchpoints execution, data collection opportunities and online differentiation options. When it comes to pureplayers, the ecommerce business unit is responsible to develop the category strategy: sales target, demand planning, catalogue, pricing and promotional strategy, aligned with the category fundamentals.
*a day in the life of...*
1. Explores new digital business models based on consumer needs and online channel understanding (ex. Bots, d2c, delivery services)
2. Aligns and integrates business unit strategy to complement omnichannel plans bringing ecommerce & digital expertise and understanding. For pureplayers & enablers (ex. Cornershop/rappi) is fully responsible of creating a promotional and activation calendar aligned with the business unit strategy and clients' needs.
3. Plans and aligns pfme and ts budget to secure flawless execution on ecommerce and key accounts digital media groups (ex. Amazon marketing services/ walmart media group, etc.)
4. Aligns with cdt portfolio & pricing strategy for online channels (ecommerce, scommerce, etc.). Proposes and executes the development of online exclusive calendars and products.
5. For pureplayers leads category channel plan and mbp: rolling, ts & demand planning. For the rest of ecommerce channel feeds into channel marketing activator mbp and category channel plan.
