what you’ll do:
job summary
1) provide leadership to and manage all the accounting activities and resources of electrical sector for global financial services and systems (gfss), queretaro and further grow the electrical vertical as per roadmap. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain & promote an effective internal control environment and build organizational capability.
2) this leadership position has the overall responsibility to manage the operational performance of electrical sites in mexico and cac region including month close, variance analysis, compliance (reconciliations), manufacturing financial insights and agreed upon business metrics per site. This role will support by working closely with the business and nac divisions/controller in developing forward-looking insights to drive management decision, actions and improve operational and financial results. It provides proactive leadership around issues and opportunities with problem solving, solutions-oriented approach.
3) the rtr electrical manager provides technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, various accounting policies (us gaap) and internal controls (sox).
4) this position is responsible for building organizational capability within the finance function by hiring and developing finance personnel in the electrical sector rtr team.

job responsibilities
management of end to end services for electrical sector -
a. Ensure monthly closure of books within the timelines set. Ownership of account reconciliation process to maintain integrity of general ledger and its supporting sub-systems. Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
process focus - obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and processes (rtr, otc & ptp) with due focus in managing end to end accounting in the rtr function. Ensure an accurate and timely book close: monthly, quarterly and year end. Also, ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information including performing variance analysis.
b. Drive a lean culture through use of ebs (eaton business system) lean tools – six sigma, bpis (business process improvement), etc. and through use of technology like rpa, digital tools.
c. Develop and actively strengthen business partnerships with key stakeholders and customers. Drive customer engagement and customer satisfaction on a regular basis. Responsible for customer service levels, establishing and renegotiating service level agreements and leading “improvement agenda” reviews. Collaborates with stakeholders to support overall goals and objectives and function as a “business partner”. Work closely with plant finance/ division controller, global process owners and delivery leaders on inquiries, special reporting requests and the like. Ability to cut across functions and drive cross functional initiatives which contribute to ultimate eaton goals.
d. Ensure integrity and accuracy of all information reported to internal and external customers. Promote quality culture within the gfss, queretaro through focus on reducing cycle times and cost outs and zero internal audits and external audits gaps.
e. Collaborate and lead ad hoc projects to drive business and customer experience, including appropriate erp implementations and system upgrades, business development initiatives such as new business opportunities (and possibly financial review of development contracts and appropriate revenue recognition and project accounting (as applicable). F. Effective teaming with transactional accounting services (ptp, otc) to drive process/business improvement that adds organizational value and customer experience.
g. Quality focus – drive and leverage various systems and tools to automate processes and drive improvements. Encourage use of digital tools to improve efficiencies.
h. Continuous improvement – demonstrate a practical approach to continuous improvement of the processes which directly manage the delivery of our services. Improve formalized standards and procedures in using new technologies and facilitates others in learning new technologies. Proactively seeks and acts in ways to positively promote and foster initiative in own team and other departments of the organization.

a. Promote and maintain an effective internal control environment that supports compliance with both us gaap and all local & statutory requirements in all countries supported by gfss, queretaro (mexico, costa rica, puerto rico, panama and dominican republic). This includes compliance with all the requirements of sarbanes oxley (sox).
b. Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. Compliance with corporate policy, including sox.
c. Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements. Provide accounting support to tax and accounting statutory filings and requirements.

a. Provide adequate training and oversight to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet eaton’s requirements. Provide leadership and support for the balance sheet review process.
b. * bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
* requires minimum of +7 year of experience in accounting processes and in managing leader of leaders.
