*purpose*
manages the design and production of graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media. Ensures that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices. Oversees the creation and execution of design solutions including imagery, charts, infographics, and multimedia elements used for marketing, advertising, sales, and other forms of communication. Consults with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize, scope, and develop project deliverables and timelines. Ensures designers have the tools and skills required to produce unique high impact materials.
*key responsibilities*
manage existing and new design-related vendors, including photographers, illustrators, and service bureaus. When workload requires, selects and manages freelance designers to ensure project deadlines are met.
Provide conceptual and stylistic counsel/work direction to marcomm staff, freelancers, vendors and suppliers as required.
Create and maintain design standards for publications and collateral to ensure consistent presentation of the katun identity.
Plan, direct and create effective external sales and marketing materials for the company (including brochures, product sheets, technical literature, newsletters, web content, direct mail, trade show materials, presentations and more), including artwork, layout, photography, etc., to increase awareness, build brand, facilitate the selling process and convey appropriate marketing messages.
Coordinate resource activities to ensure that both project budget and deadline requirements are met.
Review, proof, and consult with internal resources (e.g., marketing, legal, etc.) as needed to ensure accurate messaging and compliance with company & brand standards.
Provide support in areas of electronic file preparation and transfer as needed to meet business needs).
Recommend, implement, and monitor, continual improvement/quality initiatives, policies, and processes to achieve quality and profitability goals.

*education and experience*
bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or equivalent education
4+ years’ experience developing marketing materials (business-to-business preferred) with at least some experience managing outside and/or internal creative resources
experience developing and maintaining brand identity standards
ability to read, write, and speak basic to intermediate english language, with willingness to learn to advanced level
