key responsibilities - managethe preparation of the monthly management accounts (bpc system),including analysis of accounts, journal postings, balance sheetreconciliations and other month end processing.
- supportmanagement and the team in key americas projects including newcountry integration, acquisitions and re-organizations -significant level of project work involved - drive the improvementof processes and practices across each company/ledger in americas -design and drive new processes and practices across company - workwith ar/ap shared service center to obtain comfort around balancesheet items in their control - review of detailed monthly p&land balance sheet reconciliations and bring improvements to processwhere possible - work closely with other americas sites to aidclean month end close on key balances - manage the expectations ofthe team - assist with interim and year end audit, includingpreparation of year end audit file, liaising with audit team andpreparation of year end group reporting - assist all companystakeholders with any technical queries which may arise.
- assistin the reporting of projections/budgets.
qualifications and skillshighly desirable: - previous controller experience stronglypreferred - extremely strong technical accounting skills with highlevel of attention to detail - experience working with variousaccounting standards a plus - ability to work under pressure toensure deadlines are met.
- available for travel when required byproject implementations - strong analytical skills- ability toproactively identify and resolve issues - good communication skills- ability to work as part of a team.
- advanced excel skills -knowledge of sap and/or preferable - excellent numerical andtechnical analysis skills - detail orientated with a high level ofaccuracy - ability to add value by proactively identifyingpotential opportunities or issues and assist in the implementationof both process and performance improvement.
