Job overview:
the associate commissioning engineer is responsible for the development and set-up of the completions management system (cms) database during the engineering phase of the project and its management at the project jobsite.
responsibilities
key tasks and responsibilities:
1. reports to the commissioning manager on the project.
2. liaise with the commissioning manager and discipline engineers collating marked up p&id’s, sld’s etc., and discipline engineering data for the population of the turnover system database.
3. entry and validation of all engineering data in the completions database.
4. assist the completion coordination activities with the quality, construction and commissioning personnel for all site completion activities.
5. make sure all preservation activities have been completed and signed off as appropriate in the cms database.
6. make sure the compilation of electronic or hard copy turnover packages are completed properly.
7. support the commissioning manager with the coordination of the preparation and upkeep of the master punch lists and exception lists for each package.
8. assist the site qa/qc group in compiling turnover package documentation for submission.
qualifications
essential qualifications and education:
1. 3 years’ experience in the epc projects for oil & gas and petrochemical industries in a certification/completions position.
2. demonstrates a general technical knowledge of construction, commissioning and completion activities.
3. must have a clear understanding of the handover and turnover walk down and punch listing processes.
4. must have a clear understanding of preservation activities.
5. proficient in the use of ms office suite.
preferred qualifications and education:
1. preferably holding a degree in engineering or information technology.
2. preferably 5+ years’ experience in epc projects for oil & gas and petrochemical industries in a certification/completions position.
