Parallelstaff is seeking a talented and experienced business analyst to join our team. As a business analyst, the incumbent will bridge the gap between business needs and it solutions by eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements for various projects and initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders from different departments to understand their business objectives, processes, and challenges and translate them into actionable requirements for our development teams.
*responsibilities*
- work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for it systems or software solutions. This involves conducting interviews and surveys to gather information and understand business needs.
- document business requirements in clear, concise, and unambiguous terms using techniques such as use cases, user stories, process models, and requirement specs.
- manage and prioritize requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they are appropriately documented, tracked, and communicated to relevant stakeholders. This includes managing changes to requirements and ensuring traceability between requirements and project deliverables.
- build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, it teams, and external vendors (aws, azure, gcp, etc.).
- facilitate stakeholder communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and consensus on project objectives and requirements.
- conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between the current and desired future states and recommend solutions to address these gaps.
- analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and automation. Work with stakeholders to design and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- define acceptance criteria and participate in testing activities to ensure the final solution meets business needs and requirements.
- address defects or issues discovered during testing with the development team for follow-up purposes.
- stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and it.
- continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills, knowledge, and capabilities through training, certification, and professional development activities.
- provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to facilitate successful it solutions adoption and implementation.
*qualifications*
- bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years as a business analyst or in a related role. Experience in software development, systems analysis, or business process improvement.
- strong analytical skills for analyzing business processes, gathering and interpreting data, and identifying solutions to complex problems.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and facilitating collaboration between business and it teams. Advanced english level (c1)
- a good understanding of information technology, software development methodologies, and project management concepts for communicating effectively with technical teams and translating business requirements into technical specs.
- strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution for building relationships and fostering collaboration.
- certified business analysis professional (cbap) or agile analysis certification is a plus.
