- leads production meetings for all manufacturing work cells and products.
-works closely with the customer service manager to set and meet expectations for delivery date of product to the customer.synchronizes production schedules between departments.sets the master production schedule, evaluates production schedules and communicates forecasted sales figures to management.uses the erp system to adjust and confirm production schedules for each resource.drives policy, procedures, and business practices for the production operation team to facilitate meeting targeted service levels and customer commitments.optimizes the flow of both raw materials and finished goods throughout the plant to minimize inventory levels, minimize transaction volumes and continuously improve efficiency in relation to production schedules.oversees and is accountable for on-time delivery levels to our customers.monitors capacity levels for each resource and recommends equipment and staffing level changes to support growth trends.
works with manufacturing to justify and obtain approval for appropriate changes.maintains all mrp system modifiers to ensure system is utilized optimally (mrp time fences, days of supply, min on hand, min and max lot size, production calendars, finite/infinite capacity, etc.
).manages inventory levels to targets; monitors customer demand and production schedules to ensure adequate material availability.reviews current material costs, mros and negotiates cost savings when appropriate.leads daily/weekly/monthly material inventory cycle counts, as well as annual inventory raw materials and fg.monitors incoming freight costs based on established budgets.maintains, tracks, and reports supplier quality rating - on time delivery, supplier project portfolio management (ppm)'s and expedited freight.manages the return of defective materials with suppliers including authorization of payment of invoices or return of merchandise.maintains and performs monthly raw material inventory per ufp corporate procedures and in compliance with sarbanes-oxley.

- bachelor's degree preferred or extensive related experience in planning and material procurement and 5 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.advanced math and computer skills.proven ability to inspire and lead people from multiple disciplines effectively.equivalent combination of above education and experience.strong analytical abilities and experience working with erp and mrp systems.ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, coworkers, vendors, and customers.experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma environment a plus.bilingual in english / spanish (fluent).excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).able to train and develop his/her quality team, and a strong team building partner.strong people management and development skills.strong listening skills
