we are looking for a senior manager, gbs transition who will report to the mexico site lead in direct line and to the org activation director in indirect line.
the transition lead will play a critical role in managing transition and change management initiatives at the mcdonald's mexico office, ensuring operational readiness and supporting organizational transformation efforts.
this role will focus on workforce transition, communication, learning, and organizational design, collaborating with teams to execute strategies that support the centers´ operational and strategic goals.
this leader will bring to life the strategies developed by our function modernization programs, making them accessible and actionable to our new capability centers.
in this role, you will: enable day 1 readiness, by overseeing timely hiring and onboarding of all required employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
apply the translation of functional modernization deployment and workforce transition plans into implications for people readiness needs within the mexico office, identifying implications for training, staffing, and other hr activities.
manages training and learning programs to address employee development, knowledge transfer (kt), and skill-building requirements.
helps assess and monitors people readiness through each transformation wave, implementing interventions to address any readiness gaps and support employees during the transition.
helps drive organizational change initiatives, including communication plans, learning activities, and org design efforts to ensure alignment with transformation objectives.
enables communication efforts to keep employees informed about transition-related changes, fostering a culture of transparency and engagement.
enables organizational design activities, collaborating with stakeholders to establish structures and processes that align with mexico's growth strategy.
measures transition progress and provide regular updates to leadership, ensuring that risks are identified and mitigated.
engage with cross-functional teams to drive the integration of people strategies and support a seamless transition for all employee qualifications 8+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or hr transformation within large organizations.
a degree in human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
professional certifications in change management (e.g., prosci, pmp, shrm) are desirable.
solid experience in the areas of organizational design, change management, global talent acquisition, and knowledge transfer / onboarding.
proven experience driving workforce transition projects and managing day 1 readiness initiatives for large-scale transformations.
relevant skills in project management, training program design, and stakeholder engagement.
strong interpersonal and leadership skills to drive change and support teams during transitions ability to assess readiness, identify gaps, and implement targeted interventions.
ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.
solid knowledge of shared services / global business services environment.
familiarity with general industry capabilities of global functions (e.g., finance, hr, procurement, it) and experience in applying transformation efforts for these functions, is a plus.
