honeywell procurement has an opening for a sr procurement project specialist based in monterrey, nl, mexico.
reporting directly to the strategic sourcing director for facilities and global real estate, this role is part of the indirect procurement team and will develop and implement sourcing strategy for major categories of facilities spend for the americas region.
*key tasks and responsibilities*:
the role of senior strategic sourcing specialist is to lead sourcing strategy development and implementation for key spend subcategories across honeywell globally or regionally.
- leads in responsible area to deliver aggressive year over year savings via price reduction, value engineering and consumption reduction.
- improve working capital performance by increasing payment days.
- deploy auctions to competitively bid responsible areas.
- leads the development of category strategies incorporating supplier rationalization, quality, cost, service requirements, market conditions and preferred supplier listings.
- closely aligns with sbg and coe functional leadership to ensure coordination and integration of procurement strategies.
- ensure effective and timely negotiation of all supplier agreements and holds regular business reviews with key suppliers.
- develops metrics to analyze and measure supplier's performance against commitments.
you must have bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, procurement, supply chain or business.
3+ years' experience in facilities/real estate procurement, sourcing or supply chain.
excellent communication skills, native like english communication skills, as role will be required to liaise with customers / partners and global leaders we value experience in dealing with multiple erps, sap & oracle preferable.
experience in dealing with web-based tools such as tableau and comfortable with working on various reporting tools.
strong computer skills ms, proficient on excel is highly desirable, able to gather disperse data, create statistics analysis, provide sound rational recommendations, and present to external audiences.
lean six sigma and simplification process orientation on administrative processes.
category management, project management experience.
green belt or black belt certification is desirable.
strong and demonstrated sourcing, category management, project management background, driving productivity strategies for value engineering projects, experience providing support to a variety of projects addressing different negotiation strategies to achieve both strategic and operational objectives.
mba/master's degree preferred have certifications from apics, pmi, cpsm or formal training on procurement.
