What you will do –
oversees the production process with a business acumen mindset focused on delivering a great employee and customer experience through leadership of a team of production supervisors. Manage time and resources effectively through good organizational skills and positive problem-solving. The position will also require the ability to understand complex concepts, behave decisively, and operate in a systematic and logical manner. Ensure the business unit achieves safety, quality, financials, and people-related goals. Deliver year-over-year gross margin expansion by reducing costs through lean and ci projects.
responsibilities and functions:
* ensure key performance indicators for efficiency and performance are met or exceeded. Ensure production is cost-effective by monitoring overhead, materials, hours, and throughput. Monitor product standards and implement good manufacturing practices and process improvements.
* implement and drive continuous improvement activities through the implementation of change management processes and best practices.
* work with managers to implement company policies and goals.
* ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed. Coach and develop business resources to meet business objectives.
* supervise, motivate, and review the performance of a team of supervisors. Contribute to the coordination, setup, and implementation of standard operating procedures for areas of operations.
* ensure processes produce an effective quality product. Determine the human and material resources needed for daily operations.
* ensure complete compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Ensure that training plans and related training documents address the quality aspects of the particular job function and/or assembly task.
* maintain set standards highly regulated by the u.s. Food and drug administration (fda) and cofepris. Establish strong working relationships with advanced ops, sales, marketing, r&d, and service.
what you need –
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
* 4+ years of increasing responsibility in operations management experience, preferably in healthcare, medtech, or manufacturing environments.
* 2-4 years in a leadership role.
* fully bilingual in spanish and english.
* sap knowledge is a plus.
