Due to the ongoing growth of activity around new projects, we are currently looking to add a *quality manager* to our mergon méxico facility. Reporting to the general manager, you will have responsibility for implementation of robust quality engineering and quality assurance systems to ensure quality for our customers and efficient and cost effective operations.
*key responsibilities*
- lead the plant quality team with responsibility for advanced product quality planning for new projects and quality assurance and quality engineering support for existing production
- design, implement and direct the quality program for the plant including continuous improvement of operational kpis such as internal and external dppm, cost of quality and customer complaints
- lead the internal audit program and ensure that the quality management system is effective and compliant with customer, regulatory, and business requirements and is progressive in terms of defect prevention.
- create an environment that is conducive to the maintenance of high quality standards and is focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- provide expert quality assurance input into problem solving, change management and reliability and validation activities.
*experience*
- bachelors degree in quality, engineering, science or relevant experience in a quality assurance role ideally in the automotive sector for at least 8 years
- excellent interpersonal skills - a team player, with a positive attitude in dealing with people
- ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organisation and with customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies
- excellent analytical skills - ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and identify and implement corrective actions using proven quality improvement tools
