Role summary
job description
the local purchasing representative is the single point of contact for local users, local procurement, and shared service center.
main tasks
main accountabilities:
1. responsible for rfq’s, negotiations and final contracting of local non productive material demand which is not in scope of the shared service center (ssc).
2. responsible for rfq’s, negotiations and final contracting of local npm demand w/o involvement of category manager / mgm.
3. responsible for rfq’s, negotiations and final contracting of local npm capital spend (capex), threshold levels in alignment with lead buyer (lb).
4. coordination of procurement processes and ensure delivery of goods and services from internal as well as from external partners.
5. release of sap po’s incl. second visual approval according to npm guideline.
6. executing price comparisons.
7. archiving of documents in sap, respective erp system or dedicated internal storage location.
8. support production on urgent orders due to breakdowns.
9. create delivery notes for return shipment.
10. create po for npm-products with sap material number (banf), transfer to supplier and dropship.
11. support category managers and lead buyer freight / capex.
12. securing proper use of all relevant procurement systems such as sap / pur / econn.
13. maintenance of material master data (e.g. Npm spare parts).
14. reviewing and tracking of acknowledgements, info request and open orders from sales.
15. invoice resolutions in case of mismatch between gbts/finance and supplier.
16. prepare and execute trainings (pur) for the end user on request.
your profile
education:
1. bachelor’s degree on engineering, business administration or international business.
experience:
1. previous experience in purchasing environment of at least 3 years with a good working knowledge of purchasing techniques in automotive companies.
technical skills:
1. advanced english proficiency.
2. advanced knowledge in ms-office skills, experience with sap and other erp.
3. good negotiation skills.
4. good interpersonal skills, networking ability, communication skills (internal / external).
5. experienced problem solver.
6. organization and coordination skills, self-initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
additional requirements:
1. availability to travel.
