.the gallery manager will be responsible of the following areas and will report directly to the board:- administration & reporting.- sales.- maintenance & cleaning.- communications and mkt.- packing and shipping.- programming.- collection management.- visitors' experience and satisfaction.- daily operation.the list of responsibilities below are the essential functions for the position, but they are not limitative.*i. Key responsibilities.*- build professional relationships and networking with new and existing customers.- be the central point of contact to solve customers' requirements and needs.- focus on building new businesses from the segment.- understanding clients' needs and give always appropriate answers.- day-to-day operation of the gallery. Managing all aspects of the gallery's operations including overseeing inventory and finances, cleaning and maintaining facilities.- ensure the correct running of the gallery.- ensure correct installation, information and conditions for the artwork. Working closely with andale's museographer.*ii. Strategic alliances.*- manager will be the spokesperson, both internally and externally.- creates effective partnerships with local, national and international galleries.- communicating with artists, agents, collectors and other art industry professionals to negotiate prices for artwork.- create/maintain a database of artists and artwork for future reference for exhibitions or sales opportunities.- developing relationships with art collectors and other potential buyers to increase sales opportunities.- organizing art exhibits and events to promote new artists and generate interest in specific art styles or genres.- working with art appraisers to determine the value of the artwork for insurance purposes, legitimation and identifying forged pieces.- promoting artworks to potential buyers by hosting private viewings.- work closely with individual artists, develop relationships with new artists, and extend relationships with established artist connections.- negotiate with gallery managers and curators from other galleries to arrange for loans.*iii. Communications & mkt strategies.*- create the communications strategy.- maintain ongoing promotion and advertising of the gallery.- develop and maintain the gallery's positioning.- develop and keep updated gallery's social networks.*iv. Programming.*- plan, organize, present and market exhibitions.- prepare, monitor and revise exhibition plans that outline the workflow and deadlines for the gallery.- evaluate artist submissions to determine which works are suitable for display in the gallery. Investigate the market and artists/pieces movement.- assess and select artwork.- liaises with visiting artists and negotiate sales.*v. Sales.*- create and keep updated a clients' database. Develop the clients' list segmented by theme, artist, style or technique, and notifying particular works and exhibitions according to their interests
