the role aims to prevent accidents and eliminate or control risks and exposures that could result in harm to our employees and contractors.responsibilitiesimprove, monitor, and enforce programs, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents, eliminate or control exposures, and comply with regulations of local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.recommend corrective actions or preventative measures to eliminate or engineer out safety risks and ensure implementation of these measures.conduct safety meetings and coordinate safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.train managers, supervisors, and employees on their responsibilities in continuously improving the safety culture and execution of everyday operations.ensure supervisors conduct thorough investigations of all job-related accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions are taken.be an active member of the rain bird corporate safety committee.advise the plant management team on health and safety compliance with rain bird safety standards.promote our safety culture and lead corporate safety programs to improve the plant's overall safety culture.qualificationsminimum qualifications:bachelor's degree in a related field.knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.strong leadership and influencing skills.strong interpersonal skills.strong verbal and written communication skills.strong presentation and team facilitation skills.minimum of 5 years of experience.bilingual - english and spanish.desired qualifications:master's degree.bachelor's degree in safety, health, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.engineering experience.knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations (e.g., osha, stps).#j-18808-ljbffr
