we are looking for a human resources manager to join our great people and culture team, specifically for our production plant in windsor locks, ct.
main objective of the position
the hr manager partners with local leaders and workforce on all people and employment matters to attract, retain, and develop talent and improve individual and organizational performance to deliver the business strategy. They also ensure smooth and high-quality day-to-day hr operations at the site.
the hr manager leads the implementation of global and local people and culture roadmap, processes, policies, and tools according to the group, division, business unit, and plant targets, ensuring efficient and high-quality day-to-day hr operations at the site.
key areas of responsibility
1. defines, drives, and follows up plant hr strategies and initiatives in partnership with business management to deliver long and short-term business plans and achieve plant objectives.
2. partners with local managers to develop talent strategies considering both immediate talent needs and long-term staffing requirements.
3. drives local employer branding and community involvement activities, supporting hiring managers in recruiting and ensuring successful onboarding.
4. supports managers in all areas of the employment life cycle.
5. ensures implementation of global and local hr roadmap, processes, policies, and tools.
6. recommends practices for continuous improvement.
7. ensures policies and procedures in all areas of responsibility are up to date and compliant with current legislation, regulations, policies, standards, and agreements.
8. coordinates occupational well-being and healthcare.
9. supports health & safety for a positive and safe work environment.
10. contributes to a good working environment and culture.
11. identifies training and development needs, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address skill gaps and support career growth. Coordinates and sometimes delivers training locally.
12. coordinates communications activities locally.
13. drives and develops high-quality and efficient hr administration processes and services.
14. actively uses and maintains sap successfactors tool (master data and modules in use).
15. ensures the implementation of key people processes according to the hr annual cycle.
16. leads talent reviews at plant level.
17. manages employee surveys at the plant, including related action plans and follow-up.
18. manages salary and merit review at plant level.
19. takes care of hr reporting to plant management team and to the division/group.
requirements and experience
1. master’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or another relevant field.
2. several years of credible experience in people and employment matters (as hr generalist/in managerial position).
3. experience in supporting manufacturing/industrial and matrix environments.
4. solid track record in developing and implementing key hr processes.
5. good knowledge and experience applying local legislation in all areas of the employment life cycle.
