Overview: the main responsibility of the gl - intercompany accountant will be month end close processes, including consolidation, analysis, reconciliation, and internal audit type functions.
the gl - intercompany accountant will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.qualifications:- has developed knowledge of a body of technical, support or administrative policies and procedures.- accomplished in implementing practical procedures or systems, which are moderately complex and require extended skill.- basic understanding of gaap and accounting principles.
*experience*:- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.- advanced knowledge of microsoft office, specifically word, excel and outlook.
*education*:- bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.

*responsibilities*:- prepare entries on a monthly basis to ensure intercompany transactions are posted and the ending intercompany balance is zero, both on the balance sheet and p&l.- work cross-functionally with emea and apac to ensure proper recording of payments and fx revaluations.- ensure complete and accurate consolidation accounting in accordance with us gaap.- ownership of policies and procedures related to consolidation, intercompany and foreign currency accounting, in accordance with us gaap.- collaborate with the tax department to ensure tax legislation is considered when paying off/writing off any intercompany balances between companies.- prepare schedules and conduct analysis to support month over month fluctuations.- assist with providing support to external auditors.- additional duties as assigned.
