*role summary*:
the design engineer is responsible for the elaboration of fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and bill of materials following applicable standards for pumps industry.
*responsibilities*:
- creation of detailed designs.
- creation of machining drawings.
- creation of 3d assemblies and hydraulics within cad tool.
- technical documentation.
- creation of general arrangement as well as sectional drawings.
- close collaboration with global engineering groups.
- maintain constant focus on safety, integrity, and quality.
- approach design and manufacturing limitations with creativity, ingenuity and/or latitude.
- plan for the timely completion of assigned work.
clearly communicate and ensure alignment for planned activities and timelines with engineering and/or project management.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's degree (b. S.) in an engineering discipline (mechanical, mechatronic, electro-mechanical, or similar).
- 2-5+ years related experience.
- competent in computer-aided-design (autocad/solidworks).
- medium english skills verbal and in written form.
- knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing practices (gd&t).
- communicate professionally and with accepted business etiquette; work well with people in other departments and with customers.
- ability to work independently and as team.
- able to analyze and interpret technical standards and documents.
- working knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
- ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing work timely according to the defined priorities.
*preferred skills*:
- inventor
- familiarity and experience with asme and astm standards, including asme boiler & pressure vessel code (bpvc) and piping codes
- familiarity with pumps.
understanding of key pump customers and markets, including power, water, oil & gas, chemical, and green energy
