preparar a los estudiantes para la transición al siguiente grado.
informar a los padres sobre el desempeño de sus hijos y posibles problemas.
capacitar/orientar a otros profesionales que trabajan con niños con alumnos bajo este programa.
colaborar con el personal de apoyo (por ejemplo, consejeros escolares y terapeutas) para crear planes de intervención integrales.
entrevistas para alumnos en el proceso de admisiones.

the key purpose of this position is to develop intervention strategies to help students who struggle in the classroom and ensure that the academic programs facilitate learning and integral development of the student.
key responsibilities:
• evaluate and help students develop academic plans or frameworks that make it easier for them to learn, and to prevent them from falling behind in their studies.
• inform and train teachers as well as parents regarding the different types of learning disabilities and challenges that exist.
• assess members of the student body to determine which, if any, have learning obstacles and might need extra academic support
• update teachers and parents about the progress of those students who have been struggling or falling behind
• provide teachers with resources to support students and promote learning within their classrooms preparing intervention strategies with the parties involved: teachers, coordinator and external therapist.
• evaluate and observe gifted and talented students and develop differentiation strategies for students and teachers to implement.
• apply new student's evaluation assessments and supports new students and families with the school transition process.
• maintain constant communication with other schools and civil associations professionals; and participate in seminars, congress, and courses related to the field of work.
• academic and learning strategies teacher training.

the ideal candidate will have:
• education, psychopedagogy, or clinical psychology degree. Master’s degree (desirable).
• 5 - five - year experience as an educator in different types of classrooms and grades, learning specialist, or counselor with teaching experience in private schools.
• sound interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving skills to analyze potential learning obstacles and develop solutions, knowledge of pedagogical methods, child development principles, and educational philosophies, and a passion for helping those in need and support students with academic struggle.
