about the role:
we are looking for a presales consultant to join our global revenue team! Based in mexico, this individual will play a crucial role in showcasing the value of optibus’ solutions to potential clients, including transportation providers (operadores de transporte público - ptos) and public transport authorities (secretarías de movilidad - ptas) across mexico and beyond. You will work closely with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to engage with prospective customers and help them navigate the challenges they face in optimizing public transportation. this is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in a local queretaro office and will involve occasional travel (approximately 20%) within mexico and potentially latam.
responsibilities:
client engagement :
* serve as a trusted advisor to potential clients, building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering tailored solutions to meet their transportation needs.
* conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand client requirements and present how optibus can address their business challenges with ai and optimization solutions.
solution demonstration & education :
* become an expert in optibus products and solutions, delivering impactful demonstrations, proofs of concept, workshops, and value assessments.
* help clients understand the full value of the platform, addressing technical queries and providing guidance throughout the evaluation process.
collaboration & strategy :
* work closely with sales executives to strategize and execute deals in rapid sales cycles, contributing to rfis/rfps and account strategy discussions.
* collaborate with internal teams, including product and customer success, to ensure smooth transition of client insights, facilitating successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
market leadership :
* develop deep expertise in the uk market and foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, including public transport authorities (ptas) and public transport operators (ptos).
* represent optibus at industry events, webinars, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and demonstrate thought leadership in the public transport space.
feedback & continuous improvement :
* collect client feedback to inform product management and engineering teams, helping to shape product offerings and improve customer experience.
* support integration discussions and api implementations, ensuring smooth handovers to the customer success team for post-sale support.
requirements :
* proven experience : minimum of 2 years in a presales, solution engineering, or consulting role, ideally within saas, public transport, or related industries.
* strong technical acumen : ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; familiarity with apis, data integrations and cloud-native software.
* project management skills : experience managing multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, start-up or scale-up environment.
* communication : excellent verbal and written communication skills in english and spanish, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Communication skills in portuguese are highly desirable !
* collaboration : demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating closely with sales, product, and customer success teams.
