Maroma a belmond hotel is seeking a detail-oriented catering coordinator to join our team.
in this dynamic role, you will support the events department in managing administrative tasks, coordinating vendors, events, and clients, and ensuring excellent team communication.
your primary objective will be to assist in the planning and execution of groups and events, ensuring a highly detailed service and flawless operation. This role is key to facilitating seamless interactions between our sales teams, clients, and operations; always highlighting belmond’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and experiences.
* supporting the events team on event documentation to be distributed with operations to ensure proper communication
* operation during events that ensure proper flow of time and resources.
* coordinating and confirming meetings, and appointments, with the team, vendors, and clients.
* assisting in the organization, coordination, and supervision of weddings and events.
* responding to inquiries from clients and providing exceptional customer service.
* generating sales reports and providing management insights.
* general administrative work for events (invoice, group report, control and creation of purchase orders, group files)
requirements
* degree in tourism administration preferably with field experience in a luxury hotel.
* strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* proficient in microsoft office suite (word, excel, powerpoint).
* ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* fluent in english; additional languages are a plus.
* passion for luxury travel and hospitality.
* background in groups and catering areas is a plus
