as the human resources team leader (manager) you will lead the total human resources function at our dairy manufacturing plant in silao, mexico. This leader will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, wage and benefit administration, training and development, regulatory compliance, policy administration, labor/union relations, work life balance improvement, partner engagement and communications.
what you’ll do:
1. recruit, hire and onboard new hires
2. policy administration
3. performance management
4. partner (employee) relations
5. labor relations including participating in contract negotiations
6. administer internal job transfers at the plant
7. partner training
8. hr process improvement
9. collaborate with the leadership team to lead partners and collaborate cross-functionally
10. partner with the plant manager to develop leaders
11. work with the leadership team to implement strategic workforce planning initiatives
12. communicate hr policies, compensation, benefits, and other hr initiatives to partners
13. collaborate with hr leadership team in order to improve standard policies, processes, and the overall partner experience
14. maintain partner and position information in hr systems including workday and kronos
15. lead customer audits including code of conduct, sociability, and sustainability
what you need to succeed:
1. bachelor’s in business, hr or related field; equivalent experience will be considered
2. 4+ years of experience in human resources and/or leadership is preferred
3. spanish and english fluency required
4. labor relations experience preferred
5. proven technical expertise in human resources practices and procedures, employment law and labor law
6. strong presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations in an engaging manner
7. ability to work both independently and as a part of a larger team
8. demonstrated ability to service customers
9. ability to solve problems
10. well-developed analytical skills
11. forward thinking
12. ability to evaluate the financial impact of various hr & labor practices
13. ability to navigate microsoft office & aptitude to become an expert in workday, kronos, and other internal software systems
14. ability to travel approximately 1-2x/year to attend internal leadership training
