job summary:
we are looking for a junior software engineer with 0 to 2 years of experience.
as a manufacturing software engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance, and uptime of the software used to support our manufacturing operations. In addition, you will provide support for prototyping of software solutions for scaling the production of our upcoming products, and also, will need the ability to respond to ad-hoc requests and provide just-in-time support to resolve escalations related to production.
qualifications:
* bachelors/masters in computer science and/or computer engineering, or equivalent.
* experience with python in the use of automation.
* experience with sql and no-schema data stores.
* experience developing automation and machine/hardware interfacing programs using a variety of protocols (uart, ethernet, spi, bluetooth, i2c, etc.).
* experience and knowledge of backend standard practices (structuring and handling api call/response, socket communication, rest, etc.).
* basic knowledge of troubleshooting hardware/firmware (flashing firmware, reading debug output, reading current draw from board, etc.).
* good communication skills when communicating to both technical and non-technical personnel.
* ability to adapt to rapidly changing work/project requirements and priorities.
* strong ability to find information/knowledge and remain motivated to learn when documentation or more standard bases of knowledge may be lacking or non-existent.

* ability to travel to the united states.
* experience with git version management.
* experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) best practices.
