as a* (senior) product designer* you will support our team in building and shaping a young design department into a larger design organization.
*your role*:
you are part of the *pol (photo and order handling) *team owning the following responsibilities of the product development process:
you *identify issues *and *opportunities* in the product by:
- making connections between needs and business opportunities
- having frequent contact with customers and *stakeholders*
- utilizing *data* provided by our data team to get a deeper understanding of *users' needs*
you *design and research solutions to real-life problems *and opportunities by:
- breaking down complex issues into understandable, viable parts
- iterating and shaping the experience from testing concepts and prototypes prepared in* figma*
- creating final deliverables in collaboration with the product team
- supporting the implementation by communicating all specifications with the* engineering team*
you have an active role in shaping the structures and processes of a* young design department* by:
- building positive, collaborative relationships with product management, development, marketing, customer success, sales, and the design team
- running design thinking workshops and helping to guide, improve, and implement design and feedback processes
- participating and leading design reviews and sharing your work regularly with other designers and your product team
*skills we are looking for*:
you are an *excellent ux designer* with a passion for *user interfaces* focusing on interaction and product design for digital products as well as *user-centric design*.
you have a structured way of thinking and a hands-on mentality.
- a minimum of *3+ years *of experience in product design with a proven track record of success
- you have designed and shipped *complex web and mobile-first responsive interfaces* across the entire product development cycle
- strong* time management skills *and the ability to be self-directed, prioritize and plan
- solid understanding of *typography, color, and spacing and the ability to create state-of-the-art interfaces*
- experienced in building and maintaining design systems and pattern libraries
- great *prototyping skills *to communicate designs and solutions to the product and engineering team
- you can participate across all phases of design work: research, concept definition, *ux flow execution, wireframing, prototyping, creating production-ready designs, and supporting multi-disciplinary teams during implementation*
- you have a toolbox of *qualitative and quantitative research *methodologies to gain the most insights from our customers
- ability to articulate your solutions and the problems they are solving, backing decisions with *data-driven insights*
