this team architects, designs and manages the ongoing it network and telecom (voice-data) solutions, processes and controls of an organization. They assist with overseeing the testing and evaluation of network facilities and their components. They are responsible for ensuring network standards and performance.
*position overview*
we are looking for a senior network engineer to be a key team member on a geographically distributed team that manages a globally distributed and corporate-wide network infrastructure.
The primary roles include:
- install, manage, and monitor network devices through a disciplined change control process
- plan and implement network solutions across various locations in region
- liaise with the local business teams for project requirement gathering
- serve as an escalation point (third level) resource for network related issues
- provide backup for their peers in the other regions (i.e. follow the sun support)
*responsibilities*
- deploy, manage, and monitor network devices incl. Wifi, firewalls and sd-wan devices
- implement and maintain networks on cloud platforms, incl. Aws and azure
- plan, implement and maintain internet & mpls circuits with various providers
- set up and monitor vpn connections to 3rd party
- networking infrastructure services (aaa, radius, tacacs)
- support/deploy video conference units
- support cloud-based telephony implementation
- optimize network performance and capacity
- perform updates on all installed systems
- work to and enforce standard procedures (itil based)
- create and maintain standard operation procedures (sop)
- create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
- liaise with the local business teams and be an escalation point for all networking issues
- support mergers & acquisitions*level of education*: bachelor’s degree in information systems technology, computer science, mis or equivalent experience required.

- willingness to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
- ability to work well with people from many different cultures and disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations.
- demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
- experience in project management and coordination between it and local business teams
- comprehensive knowledge of the cisco technology stacks including router, switches, firewalls and wireless controller / access points.
- advanced vendor certifications are preferred (i.e. Cisco certifications, aws and/or azure)
- experience managing network infrastructure in a mid-large sized company with a diverse global footprint, preferred.
- fluent english is mandatory, a second language desirable
*certifications / experience*
- cisco experience (ccnp required; ccie preferred)
- cisco wireless experience (ccna wireless required; ccnp wireless preferred)
- aws and microsoft azure experience desirable
*travel*
- willingness and ability to travel up to 10-25% of the time depending on assigned business initiatives.
