location: monterrey, mexico job overview the operations director will oversee and manage all aspects of third-party logistics (3pl) operations, ensuring efficient and effective logistics solutions for our clients.
this role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and carrier management.

key responsibilities operational management: oversee daily operations, develop and implement operational strategies, manage carrier relationships, and ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
strategic planning: collaborate with senior management, identify and implement best practices, and provide input for pricing.
team leadership and development: recruit, train, develop, and manage the team.
create a high-performance culture, lead teams responsible for load solicitation, scheduling, and carrier relations, and set performance goals.
customer relationship management: act as the escalation point of contact, ensure client satisfaction, and work closely with sales and account management.
carrier management: implement best practices for carrier acquisition, maintain a growing carrier base, create standard operating procedures, and develop pricing.
compliance and risk management: ensure compliance with regulations, develop risk management strategies, and monitor quality and safety standards.
technology and innovation: leverage technology and data analytics, stay current with industry trends, and implement innovative solutions.
new operations and sop development: develop strategies for new operations and create standard operating procedures.

qualifications bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or 3pl operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
strong understanding of logistics software and technology, including wms and tms.
experience with mcleod is a plus.
excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive cost-effective solutions.
strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
