As a sr specification manager, you will mead the specification team members to promote and improve sales with new, current, and potential high-level b2b clients by implementing commercial strategies, through the specification of commercial and industrial products and systems in strategic and high-volume projects for the commercial b2b market, using all the portfolio of ppg comex products and offering the company's specialized services as added customer value!
*key responsibilities*
- relationship with the top 10 influencer accounts (architecture firms, construction management, construction companies, real estate developers, engineering firms) for each of the most relevant regions at the national level.
- link the main associations, schools, chambers, foundations relevant to the architecture and construction industry to have a brand presence in various forums and generate a link to potential b2b clients.
- follow up to ensure that the intended measures and results are met, as well as customer satisfaction with suggestions for improvement.
- map high-volume projects prospecting in the medium and long term (2 to 5 years) the most relevant projects involving the main influencer accounts by region, prioritizing the recommended specification systems according to the ppg comex product portfolio and guaranteeing brand presence.
- develop, elaborate, and deliver materials developed by the technical and/or commercial area aimed at different types of audiences: technical specifications, color books, color proposals, technical details, corrosion studies and necessary materials that support the specification of the products. and ppg comex systems in the different projects and segments of the commercial and industrial b2b market.
- development and maintenance of relationships with internal clients such as directors of the commercial and marketing area.
- comply with an assigned budget of $1,700 million pesos specified in projects and specified lines on an annual basis.
- prospecting and negotiating with strategic clients and maintaining a high-volume client portfolio to attract projects in which sales can be boosted through the specification of ppg comex products and systems.
- generate and maintain bonds of trust with leaders of the creative and construction industry, architecture firms, engineering firms, construction companies, developers, managers, and anyone who represents a potential client for the brand; worthily representing ppg comex in the different market segments that serve as a basis to drive sales through the commercial and industrial b2b strategy.
*qualifications*
- bachelor´s degree in architecture, design or civil engineering.
- desirable to have certification in topics related to architecture/design/construction, leed green associate, wellnace 2, master paint institute accredited, project management institute.
- +3 years of proven experience in management role´s activities mention above including leading specification team members (5 or 6 direct reports).
- proficient english advanced level and office (excel, ppt, word, etc.)
- availability to travel to national level (4 trips per month, 1 per week)
- position could be based in mexico city or guadalajara or merida or baja california
- skills: leadership, teamwork, relationship with creative and construction industry in mexico, commercial skills, innovation, collaboration, and adaptability!
