job overview
te connectivity’s engineering project management teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with product management, sales, quality, manufacturing, finance, and other functions across te to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to leanpd processes.
responsibilities
1. work with pm/pjm and pde to understand customer npi requirements.
2. work with footprint pjm and sourcing to identify project goal, scope, and requirements for migration project.
3. work with sourcing and pbl supplier for qualification, get engineering support if needed.
4. work out project framework/timeline, use wbs to identify deliverables and tasks in projects.
5. lead to work out project capital and expenses spending plan, capacity plan, cost model, and project p&l (w/o pjm).
6. work out project tooling development or migration timeline, including tooling development (or transfer) and qualification, sample making and delivery, product qualification and gtp.
7. track rfq progress and project status (win or drop).
what your background should look like:
1. bachelor degree.
2. total working experience over 8 years.
3. 5 years above project management experience in manufacturing.
4. good command of english on both speaking and writing.
additional responsibilities
1. after project officially kickoff, setup project team including supplier and balance the resources against project task requirements.
2. lead te cross function team and pbl supplier to work out project timeline and track actual progress to ensure all tasks are on schedule (design/sample/qualification etc.).
3. stay interlocked with pjm, review and monitor project progress and drive for implementation. Ensure successful execution to overall project timeline.
4. support tooling order and/or sample order to supplier.
5. as project leader, lead micro lite project and qnpi.
6. as project leader, lead pbl internal migration project.
7. support footprint pjm to be receiving side project leader (move from plant to supplier).
8. drive sample delivery on time, drive qualification and production document on schedule.
9. follow system setup and safe launch on time.
