come break through with us.our optical communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.
this segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
the carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
the enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.role purposeprovide support in the design, development, and implementation of automation and control systems projects.
this role involves providing support to cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within scope, time and budget constraints.
the position requires background bases in mechanical and electrical design, plc and robot programming, as well as project management skills.key responsibilitiessupport the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of automation projects.assist in developing detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation.provide basic technical expertise and guidance in mechanical/electrical systems design and programming for automated machinery.help generate comprehensive scopes of work for each project phase.participate in vendor meetings to negotiate terms for machine builds ensuring compliance with specifications.coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, procurement, and production to align on project goals.ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.monitor progress against milestones; identify risks/issues early; implement corrective actions when necessary.prepare regular status reports for stakeholders highlighting key achievements/concerns.experiences/education - requiredbachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering / automation or related field required; master's degree desirable.minimum 2-4 years of manufacturing experience.fully bilingual.able to travel globally, with valid passport and visa
