Job duties and responsibilities
- develop and comply with the maintenance plans.
- collaborating closely with production, manufacturing engineering and quality to develop and implement equipment and project specific preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans.
- ensure high accuracy and completeness of information (tasks, man-hours, parts, materials, spare parts) in maintenance plans.
- coordinate and lead day to day maintenance blue collar operators
- plan and manage work schedules.
- review maintenance plans to secure / confirm availability of manpower on site, and spare parts requirements.
- review actual labour, and spares expended versus the estimates in order to determine corrective measures needed to improve accuracy and quality of work.
- keep maintenance records on maintenance database system
- interface with maintenance vendors and production as required to ensure maintenance contracts commitments are implemented and on schedule.
- monthly reporting of maintenance reports (predictive and corrective measures).
- other tasks as assigned by maintenance head.
relationships
- reports directly to maintenance manager.

- factory production team
- manufacturing engineering team,
- maintenance vendors
qualifications & experience
essential
- electromechanical engineering or similar or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- minimum 5 years previous experience as a maintenance supervisor
desirable
- knowledge of maintenance software
- must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, displaying strong organisational skills.
- high level of proficiency with microsoft office suite.
- highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
