*what is the opportunity?
*working in collaboration with the country director, honduras, and the lac regional human resources (hr) manager, the human resources manager, honduras, will assist in the development and implementation of the strategy, policies, and human resource functions in alignment with water mission headquarters.
this position is located in el progresso, honduras.
this is a full-time position that reports to the lac regional hr manager.
the position requires travel to areas where water mission's honduras program operates.a successful hr manager will:- maintain a strong christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.- engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings.- lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions.- understand, support, and nurture water mission's vision, mission, and core values.- collaborate with headquarters and local senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, development, retention, and employee relations.- administer human resources programs within honduras, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; recruitment and selection; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health andsafety; and training and development.- work with in-country leadership, lac regional human resources manager, and the international hr director to develop and execute the honduras human resources strategic plan and the honduras staffing plan.- directly supervise hr staff on day-to-day hr tasks including, but not limited to, hiring, onboarding, separation/termination, performance management, recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and organizational policy.- perform supervisory duties including, but not limited to, overseeing staff training and development, prioritizing project requests, managing workloads and deadlines, setting goals, meeting schedules and milestones, conducting performance reviews, and assisting in the recruiting and hiring of direct reports
