*function description*:
human factors & ergonomics (hf&e) scope is very broad since project involvement starts at early stage; this group is focus on objective-based human requirements intended to deliver a comfortable, intuitive and refined customer experience.
*hf&e includes four different performance areas*:
*ergonomics*: human packaging, ingress/egress, visibility and vehicle storage
*human machine interface (hmi)*: define the human interface with the it system and vehicle information.
*seat comfort*: how the seat feels during short and long drives.
*high quality feel (hqf)*: craftsmanship of the vehicle, including fit & finish and materials.
each function obtains objective data to create performance targets which are cascaded to design engineering to meet the high level vehicle targets set by marketability.
each function evaluates target achievement in every stage of vehicle development (concept, digital, and physical)

job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
benchmarking of competitive vehicles, either for ergo, seats, hqf or hmi to provide market trend analysis of customer expectations
identify key performance attributes and feature requirements to be adopted to nissan products to maximize each commodity aspect for a better ease of use
*customer clinic and user study execution*: design tasks, questions, and prototype requirements; recruit and schedule sites and participants; interpret data and provide actionable recommendations based on the results
analyze 3rd-party customer survey data to support system requirements and predictions of future system performance
plan and support testing (digital, physical and software-based), validation, and verification of each of ivi (in-vehicle-infotainment) and telematics systems, ensuring high quality, on-time delivery, and overall system qualification
*minimum qualifications*:
bachelor of science in innovation and design, mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, computer, industrial, biomedical, or human factors engineering
self-motivated and effective communicator with a strong interest in emerging technologies and the ability to create and deliver presentations to push new ideas through the company
knowledge about vehicle components/systems and performance.
*language*: english (fluent conversation; toeic 750 points / toefl 580 points)
*must have*: driver license ( 05 years of driving experience city & highway)
*must have*: mex passport & us visa (no green card or us american citizen)
*computer skills*: office (excel, word, powerpoint, etc.)
and cad software
ability to travel to us, japan and to regional sites (nistec, civac, hq)
*preferred qualifications*:
2+ years of experience in automotive or consumer electronics hmi/gui for audio, navi, hvac, v2x, autonomous vehicle, or telematics development
experience in human factors related to ergonomics, high quality feel, seat development or human machine interface (hmi), advanced displays, cognitive task analysis, customer clinic / user study setup and analysis, and agile software development
knowledge of emerging telematics and connected car services, such as phone to vehicle integration, data services, internet radio, etc.
knowledge of nhtsa and aam driver distraction guidelines and experience in self certification testing
