Gerente a sales quality
*role purpose*
- the sales quality function is to provide assurance that hsbc’s customers are treated fairly and are recommended products that are suitable for their needs and appetite for risk
- the sales quality function should ensure that sales are conducted and documented in line with hsbc policies and procedures as well as being compliant with respect to both local and external regulators, current legislation, compliance and departmental procedures
- success in this role will be dependent on the role holder’s ability to work closely with the key stakeholders, locally and at global level. The individual will monitor and review implementation progress on a series of sales quality aspects and provide regular updates and support to country leaders in understanding these. The individual will be responsible for these tasks and for supporting with building and developing further the global sales quality minimum standards.
- in addition, the purpose of this role is to lead, motivate and develop the team in charge.
*principal accountabilities: key activities and decision-making areas*:
- ensure adequate resources are in place and those resources are skilled & qualified to carry out their role
- monitor and assess sales quality checks and reporting, which results in potential impacts on sales force performance and incentive.
- maintain adequate checks and monitor sales quality outputs
- liaise with the global sales quality team to ensure that relevant standards are implemented and potential major issues raised.
- support all activities related to training and coaching to continuously improve and monitor required activities to improve sq staff knowledge and understanding of their roles and related tasks.
- enhance the perception of the department by the provision of coaching, guidance and support through liaising with the relevant stakeholders.
- build and maintain satisfactory working relationships with the sales force, looking at ways to enhance the perception of the sales quality department
- deal with enquiries from the sales force, customers and third parties both written and verbal
- ensure queries raised with the sales force are resolved satisfactorily
the role holder has the prime responsibility for:
- managing the day-to-day activities, including coaching, of the team by ensuring that priority is addressed
- communicating relevant information to key stakeholders locally and globally
- ensuring that sq minimum standards are monitored and reported
- identifying issues and risks and escalating those appropriately
- monitoring all the team activities and ensuring the relevant training and support is provided
- managing and enhancing relationships with appropriate internal contacts to ensure that best practice, issues, concerns and learning points are shared and fed back to appropriate parties.
- identifying opportunities to continuously improve the service provided, referring to senior management where appropriate
*requirements*:
*knowledge & experience / qualifications*
- appropriate local certifications for sales/risk roles
- english language proficiency, to issue reports and discuss results with the global team.
- ability to make important decisions and take decisive actions
- communicate at all levels with confidence (written and verbal)
- ability to lead and coach a team
- good working knowledge of hsbc and wpb division, including relevant sales and risk systems
- comprehensive knowledge and understanding of retail banking sales procedures
- excellent organisational and coaching skills
- ability to understand urgency and prioritisation when required
